1984 Macintosh 128K M0001 Large Note Cube Sealed.
From the description:
"This is just like a large Post-It note pad, measures 6" tall, and 4" deep and wide. These are very rare, as most were actually used, or at the very least opened. This one is still factory sealed and in near perfect condition! Tightly sealed, only a couple little splits in the original shrinkwrap. This was originally owned by a former Apple employee who purchased it right there at the Apple store back in 1984. This has been stored properly, no moisture or sun damage, and from non-smoking home. This unique and rare collectible will really stand out in your collection!
The attention to detail is stunning, this really does look like a little version of an original Mac. The rear label and emblems all are true to the original Macintosh, and even the disk drive opening shows the metal prong of the drive inside, just like on the real thing! The ports on the back almost look real and even has a shadow effect in the handle opening on top, like you're looking at an actual Mac! This truly is a unique and rare collectible to add to your early Macintosh collection. It is highly unlikely you will ever find another like this ever again. Place your bid or Buy It Now to make sure you make it yours. Don't miss your chance to own this very rare early Macintosh collector's item!"

“PC” School District Sends Macs to the Scrap Heap
August 11, 2009
A sad new article at Cult of Mac by Nicole Martinelli.
It begins:
"An elementary school in Sarasota, Florida is sending several hundred working Macs to the trash heap — in keeping with the school district’s 'PC-only' policy.
Piled up in the cafeteria of the Emma Booker school, 140 G3 and G4 laptops and over 50 iMac and eMac machines await the scrap heap."

Aug. 6, 1997: Apple Rescued — by Microsoft
August 07, 2009
A new article at Wired.com by John C Abell.
It begins:
"1997: Microsoft rescues one-time and future nemesis Apple with a $150 million investment that breathes new life into a struggling Silicon Alley icon.
In a remarkable feat of negotiating legerdemain, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs got needed cash — in return for non-voting shares — and an assurance that Microsoft would support Office for the Mac for five years. Apple agreed to drop a long-running lawsuit in which they alleged Microsoft copied the look and feel of the Mac OS for Windows and to make Internet Explorer the default browser on its computers — but not the only choice."

Koala Touch Tablet with the Original Box & Stylus
From the description:
"Hi, up for auction is a Apple II, II+ & IIE Koala Touch Tablet with the Original Box & Stylus. I am also throwing in a free copy of The Koala Micro Illustrator software on a 5.25 floppy disk which is what originally came with the Koala pad. This item comes from my own personal collection. I tested the unit on a IIE as best as I could and it seems to work good. I noticed it does actually work better using the Stylus Pen included then it does just using your finger like they show on the box. The software works perfect. The unit still looks excellent like it was hardly ever used. The unit comes in the original box which does have some normal expected wear from time/storage but still looks pretty good for it's age, is not crushed and is still in one piece. Don't miss your chance to add this great vintage item to your Apple II collection or it would make a great gift for any Apple II computer lover!"
