All The Power Of An Apple //e In The Palm Of Your Hand
From the article at The Mac Observer:
"Sometimes you just need a fix of retro gaming, but it's not always convenient to cart a vintage Apple //e around with you wherever you go. However, a PalmOS-based device is much easier to cram into the pocket of your favorite jeans. What good does a PalmOS device do you, you ask? Well, that's where the open-source PalmApple Apple //e emulator for the PalmOS comes in. The emulator, linked to from a PalmInfoCenter article, currently emulates the 65C02 CPU, 64K of RAM, 40x24 text mode, and more. That's right, this software turns your PalmOS device into a tiny Apple //e."

The Replica 1
From the site:
"The replica 1 is a fully functional clone of the Apple 1¿ computer created by Steve Wozniak in 1976. A new circuit layout was done to implement a more simple circuit and replace older no longer used IC's. This new design allows for a smaller board yet still gives all the functionality of the original design. Simply add your own PC 386-Pentium¿ class power supply, a composite TV or monitor and a PS/2 keyboard or Apple II¿ style ASCII keyboard and you are set to go."

High-Capacity Replacement Battery for PowerBook G4 'Titanium'
NEWERTECH AND OWC ANNOUNCE HIGHEST CAPACITY
REPLACEMENT BATTERY FOR APPLE G4 'TITANIUM' POWERBOOKS

71 watt-hour replacement battery combines high-capacity storage and high-quality components

WOODSTOCK, Ill. - September 30, 2004 - Newer Technology (NewerTech) and Other World Computing (OWC) today introduced the NuPower Ti 4800mAH high-capacity replacement battery for all Apple PowerBook G4 'Titanium' 15-inch models 400 Megahertz (MHz) through 1 Gigahertz (GHz).

The NuPower Ti 4800mAH Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery is the highest capacity battery ever available for the PowerBook G4 Titanium with an amazing capacity of 71 watt-hours, giving it up to 42 percent more capacity than any other Apple Computer (Nasdaq: AAPL) or third-party internal battery option available. The NuPower Ti 4800mAH battery is currently in stock and available online for $149.99.

"With the NuPower Ti 4800mAH battery, PowerBook G4 Titanium-users can now work for a long, long time without needing to plug in to an outlet to recharge," said Larry O'Connor, president of OWC. "The extra run-time makes for extra freedom and usability on the go. Whether you're on a long flight or taking a creative day away from the office, these batteries let you focus on the work while not worrying about when it's going to be time for another charge."

The NuPower Ti 4800mAH batteries, like all NewerTech PowerBook batteries, are designed and built in the United States using premium Li-Ion cells manufactured in Japan and/or Canada. Since it uses only the best components, NewerTech is able to ensure that its batteries run longer at full charge and also last longer compared to other batteries built to inferior standards.

"We build NuPower batteries to last longer and work better than any other PowerBook replacement battery," O'Connor said. "We specifically engineer them using only the latest technology and the highest quality cells available, which causes these batteries to last longer with more lifetime charge/discharge cycles and provides the longest runtimes between charges too. An all-around longer-lasting battery is something our customers definitely appreciate, and as an added bonus it's something that has environmental advantages as well."

The NuPower Ti 4800mAH batteries and the full line of high-capacity batteries from NewerTech are available through OWC. For more information or to order, visit www.newertech.com/batteries or e-mail sales@macsales.com.
